Saving

This is the amount of money saved on a component or part of a component. These are returned from the Third Parties.

Search Response XML

This field in the property search response  lets you return whatever information from your database that you want about a property in the results, such as star rating or contact telephone number. This allows you to get details other than just the property reference ID in the response. This data can also be retrieved using REST requests.

Seq

This is a sequence number. It specifies the position of a particular node in a list.

Shell Booking

A shell booking is the skeleton of a normal booking that is created to reserve a booking ID in the database. This is done to generate a unique ID to pass to third parties before the booking has been saved in iVector. The three shell booking modes are None, PrePreAuth and PostPreAuth where "PreAuth" refers to the PreAuthorisation of the payment. 

Source

This is the name of the supplier of a particular component or part of a component. For example, the source of a flight might be Multicom, which is the supplier for that flight. Note, this is different to the flight carrier.

Special Offer

This is a description of a special offer on a property component, such as 'Second night 50%'. Any special offer discounts or prices will be included in the prices and discounts returned by the supplier, this field does not affect those calculations but  gives a human readable description of the offer.

String

String is a datatype describing a character string with a maximum length that depends on the exact configuration of the string. As iVectorConnect uses SQL Server, the absolute maximum length it is possible to define a string is exactly 231 - 3 characters long (that is 2,147,483,645 characters).

Subtotal

This is the price to the customer of a component or part of a component not including any deductions. For example, in the property search response, the subtotal field in the room type node is the price of the room without taking account of the discount, which is another field in this node. The total field in this case is the subtotal minus the discount.

Supplement

The name of a supplement on a room booking, such as Resort Fee or Meal Basis Upgrade.
